Oh, right. McCain’s VP pick. The inexperienced small-state governor with absolutely no foreign policy cred.

They’re going to have to fit Joe Biden with one of those masks Hannibal wore in Silence of the Lambs before the VP debates.

  1. The pundits are always telling us that the real significance of the VP pick is what it tells us about the presidential nominee; i.e. it is his first presidential decision. This decision tells us something important about McCain: he puts politics first (gee, that’s ALMOST like his slogan). Ms. Palin was chosen to boost the ticket. No one in America thinks John McCain believes she is the second most qualified person in the country (or anywhere near it) to serve as President of the United States. What McCain just showed us about his “Country First” slogan is almost too repugnant for Obama to point out.
