Free Charlie Eisenhood!

Even as Take Back NYU! wastes everyone’s time, there is at least one clear winner in this standoff: my alma mater NYU Local, and more specifically my editorial successor Charlie Eisenhood, whose been providing, bar none, the best news coverage of any media outlet on this story from inside the occupation.

Hats off to him and the rest of the NYU Local team for owning this story and getting well-deserved plugs from everyone from Gawker to, oddly enough, The American Spectator.

But now it looks like TBNYU isn’t too happy with Charlie’s coverage, and have decided to kick him out of the group meetings. Remember that two of the most oft-used words in these folks’ vocabulary are, “disclosure” and “transparency.” I guess “irony” isn’t in their vocabulary at all.
